At times, it veers in the direction of being a straight "issues" movie -- which would make it much weaker, in my opinion -- but I think it avoids that trap. Glad to hear she's in top form, even if she rarely (if at all) isn't. ;)Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08596682195753811295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4455799919149349621.post-90232098419899935092013-01-13T09:45:22.538-08:002013-01-13T09:45:22.538-08:00Thanks, Naida! Thanks, Naida!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4455799919149349621.post-71251608147557104252013-01-13T09:45:07.891-08:002013-01-13T09:45:07.891-08:00Cool! Oranges and Sunshine felt a bit more like an "issues" movie as opposed to the kind of social realism I've seen in Ken Loach's films. But as I was said, it was quite well done, so I didn't see that as a negative. I'm very interested to see what direction Jim Loach goes in the future. If you watch Oranges and Sunshine, I'd love to hear what you think.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4455799919149349621.post-63394014359038413272013-01-13T08:40:03.046-08:002013-01-13T08:40:03.046-08:00Great review! Such and interesting and heartbreaking time in history as well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4455799919149349621.post-58400638835967006202013-01-13T05:15:29.869-08:002013-01-13T05:15:29.869-08:00This sounds very good.
